I gave it 3 stars. The film streamlines the book to positive effect, whilst maintaining key sequences: Books by Lars Kepler. The short chapters, make you turn the page, and continue reading. I will avoid the newer Kepler novel like the plague, and I suggest to those who suffer from Steig Larsson withdrawal to check out the Harry Hole series of books by Norwegian Jo Nesbo. But it pulled me out of the story a number of times, as I was focusing on the tense instead.

Read the Martin Beck series by Wahloo and Sjowall. Her work with Mikael Persbrandt in the title role is excellent, grounded and real, anchoring the emotion of the story. I can only give praise to the authors. The crimes are incredibly brutal and way too graphically detailed The Slaughters are Here! Books by Lars Kepler. I honestly cannot remember reading a novel like that and it was quite hard to get used to. Oscar Pettersson as Benjamin.

Lots and lots of characters, which I think the author managed very nicely. Benjamin is not happy with the constant bickering between his parents, and has a new girlfriend who is older. The Ahndorils were both established writers before they adopted the pen name Lars Kepler, and have each published several acclaimed novels. It is enylish equivalent of assigning a book to be read in school.
There are not words to express how super this book was. It’s not quite seamlessly done so that the reader is alert and aware of what is going on. I find it interesting that this Swedish thriller genre is populated by significantly flawed characters who seem to thrive on self-flagellation. So, a book I liked, but did not love and ultimately felt let down because it’s a hyped up book and pumped with brilliant reviews. I continue to be amazed by people’s reviews. Worst of all hypntisoren Simone. There are no survivors except for the teenaged son who is lying at death’s door. I suggest reading on to find out, as beneath the language issues lay a brilliant psychological thriller about family, retribution, and how far some people will go to take revenge on others. Nancy Had to laugh because I too didn’t like the date headings. The suspense is not very well maintained: I mentioned to eenglish good friend of mine earlier in the week that I wanted to read another Scandinavian crime novel soon, and this was subtotles old reading copy I had on my desk.
Simone commits even worse offenses. Given the action and high body count of the second book, it could be quite the challenge, but one would hope the producers and the actor will find it worth their while to rise to it.

I think it is a worthy entry in the genre of Scandinavian thrillers and I would definitely recommend it to crime lovers! This is a very dark, horrific story that ranks high in creepiness.
The latter nom de plume hides a Swedish married couple, both successful authors, who have turned their hands to the Stieg Larsson -esque end of the Nordic Noir field with great effect. Now I love a good mystery, better still if it happens to be a thriller where life and death hang in the balance as they race to find and stop the villian.
